DeFries give me a comment at my previous post,
If you ask me, I would go for the MSc and then later add a possible master class in MBA later on. Better to specialize first and then broaden your view then vice versa.
Your idea is very great! You’re right. It’s better to go for the MSc first. I have to leave my work for 2 years minimum to finish master’s degree in geosciences. It means that I will be full-time student again. ![]()
It will be different when I go for the MBA first. It is possible for me to work and study together because some MBA programs offer Fully Employed MBA and Executive MBA. Fully Employed MBA is designed for students who wish to work full time while pursuing their degree. Executive MBA is the Part-time program for experienced business managers. Classes in the Executive MBA program meet on weekends to accommodate our busy schedule.
For example, Pepperdine Business School Program also offers MBA programs for working professionals, full-time students, and executives. There are two programs for executives, Executive MBA (EMBA) and Presidential and Key Executive MBA (PKE MBA). PKE MBA is designed for senior business executives. The main objectives of this program are to effectively lead and inspire high-level performance and anticipate opportunities and challenges in business environments to assess potential impacts on the organization.
After visiting Pepperdine’s website, I understand that we need MBA program to learn practical, applicable skills and strategies, not just theory, to create a more profitable and successful organization.

Ha! Nice to see someone listens to me
But seriously, I believe this is the best way to go. It’s what I have done myself and found to be a very effective way to go.
Good luck on your voyage
