What is a business school? A business school is a university-level institution that confers degrees in Business Administration. It teaches topics such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resource management, strategy, and organizational behavior.
Case method is usually used for teaching method in a business school. Three different methods have been used in business case teaching. They are case-specific questions, problem-solving analysis, and strategic planning approach. What is the most popular case study? I think it is Google, Inc.
For example, you can visit Pepperdine Business School Program. This business school offers many business programs. Pepperdine’s MBA Program offers Full-time MBA, JD/MBA, International MBA, Fully Employed MBA, Executive MBA, Presidential MBA. Pepperdine’s Master of Science offers M.S. in Organization Development, M.S. in Applied Finance, M.S. in Management and Leadership, M.S. in Global Business. Pepperdine’s Bachelor Program offers B.S. in Management, B.S. in Business Administration, and B.S. in International Business.
Wait a minute! I say that Pepperdine has Master of Science programs for business topics not for sciences. Am I wrong? No, it is true. I forget that business, business administration, and management are social sciences. The social sciences are a group of academic disciplines that study human aspects of the world. They use the scientific method in the study of humanity, including quantitative and qualitative methods.
I’m sorry. I always use word “sciences” in this blog. The word “sciences” is as a short-form for “natural sciences”, such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, astronomy, etc.
