I have a plan to continue my study to improve my geosciences knowledge. I am still searching for a scholarship now. I hope I can get a master’s degree in geosciences next year. If it possible, I want to take not only master’s degree in geosciences (Master of Science) but also doctor’s degree in the same topic.
My friends ask me why I don’t try to take Master of Business Administration (MBA). The MBA degree has become one of the most popular masters’ degrees. Most of my friends prefer MBA than MSc. I know that business administration is one of the most favorite subjects in this world. People from a wide range of academic disciplines study this subject. They learn about how to apply scientific approaches to management.
If you are truly businessman, MBA is a must because it is very good for your career. MBA degree gives you a possibility to step up to the next level in your company. Don’t forget to find a university with a good MBA program ranking. Business Week, the well-known business publication, ranks MBA schools according to some perceived quality criteria. Financial Times, The Economist, Forbes magazine and The Wall Street Journal also publish MBA program rankings. These publications will help you decide on where to apply.
What about me? I’m an earth scientist. It’s better for me to learn more about sciences. But I’m also a businessman. Should I apply for both of them, MSc and MBA? 
If you ask me, I would go for the MSc and then later add a possible masterclass in MBA later on. Better to specialize first and then broaden your view then vice versa. My $ 0.02
